FeetUp Trainer – Safety & Contraindications

Modified on Fri, 22 May at 8:49 AM

The FeetUp Trainer is designed for everyday use and suitable for most people. However, inversions can be physically demanding, especially when you're just starting out, so there are a few things to keep in mind before you begin.

Consult your doctor first if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy
  • High blood pressure
  • Recent surgery
  • Flu or active infections
  • Any chronic or ongoing medical condition
  • Any injury you're unsure about

The Trainer eliminates pressure on the head and neck, but it does not eliminate all physical demands of an inversion. If in doubt, always check with your healthcare professional before starting.

General safety tips:

  • Place the Trainer on a non-slip surface
  • Make sure all screws are properly tightened before each use
  • Start against a wall and move slowly
  • Don't jump into a headstand — approach every movement mindfully
  • For your first session, having another person nearby is a good idea

The vast majority of our customers use their FeetUp Trainer daily without any issues. The key is giving your body the time it needs to adapt.
